As close to Archlinux as possible, no holding back updates for packages and no custom kernel builds, no overloaded pre-selection of applications that come pre-installed, and only minimal pre-configurations and minimal customization needed to start your custumizations with.
The approach is more of providing help and guidance that allows the user to customize the system to suit the user’s needs, as the user will be able to troubleshoot and understand how everything works on their own.
EndeavorOS does not provide a graphical package shop as a pre-installed default, but supports the confrontation, like Archlinux itself, of using pacman directly in the terminal, and yay in the terminal to AUR Build and manage packages.
EndeavorOS has developed some system apps to simplify management, but they always access commands and programs that can also be used in the terminal. So no automatic administration where you as a user no longer have to understand what is actually happening.
EndeavorOS isn’t aimed at everyone and anybody, but welcomes anyone, regardless of skill level, who is willing to get to grips with Archlinux and is willing to learn.
Es ist Sonntag der 17. Mai 2020, eigentlich haben alle frei und ich hätte Familie und 1.. 2 Freunde zum Grillen auf der Terrasse eingeladen.
Leider haben wir Kontaktverbot, klar ich verstehe wir müssen Abstand halten und Kontakte minimieren, doch die Nähe zu Freunden und Familie brauchen wir genauso wie Nahrung, Licht und Luft. Bekommen wir die nicht, werden wir krank, und das nicht nur im Kopf.
Der Kampf gegen den Virus ist ja nun auch nichts anderes als der Kampf gegen den so genannten Terrorismus, wir können nicht in Isolation und Abschirmung leben um sicher vor der Gefahr zu sein. Wir können nicht unsere Freiheit gegen komplette Unfreiheit eintauschen damit weniger Menschen am Virus erkranken und sterben, wenn im Gegenzug genauso viele Menschen nicht behandelt werden können, einsam ohne ihre Angehörigen sterben müssen, wenn Tausende ihre Arbeit, ihr Unternehmen, und ihre Lebensfreude verlieren.
Es geht viel mehr darum mit Herz und Verstand die Ausbreitung zu minimieren, und dafür zu sorgen technische Lösungen für die Aufrechterhaltung unserer Kultur zu schaffen.
Vielleicht schaffen wir es ja auch mal etwas besser zu machen und unter dem Druck dieser Gefahr wieder zu mehr Zusammenhalt und Brüderlichkeit zu kommen. Denn nur gemeinsam sind wir stärker als die Gefahr, die Angst und diese Krise.
It is Sunday, May 17th, 2020, actually, everyone is free and I would have invited family and 1 or 2 friends to have a barbecue on the terrace.
Unfortunately, we have a ban on contact, of course, I understand we have to keep our distance and minimize contacts, but we need proximity to friends and family as well as food, light, and air. If we don’t get it, we get sick, and not just in the head.
The fight against the virus is nothing more than the fight against the so-called terrorism, we cannot live in isolation and shielding to be safe from the danger. We cannot exchange our freedom for complete lack of freedom so that fewer people get the virus and die if, in return, just as many people cannot be treated, have to die lonely without their relatives, if thousands lose their jobs, their businesses and their joie de vivre.
It is much more about minimizing the spread with heart and mind and making technical solutions for the maintenance of our culture. Maybe we can do something better and come back under the pressure of this danger to more cohesion and fraternity. Because only together can we be stronger than danger, fear, and this crisis.
Officially it’s called a crisis, but shutting down business on this scale has not been an inevitable necessity, it was decided by politics and permutative imitated. There is certainly a very high infection rate and there are fatalities too, but the “numbers” do not justify the restrictions that stand against our right to freedom. However, the question remains why an economic crisis is provoked? I think it’s all better than war (the usual way to provoke a crisis like this) If all these restrictions will stay till June we will have a huge financial and psychological crisis. But yes here in Europe politicians now can say “we have a huge crisis we have to pump money into companies! we now need to make debts!” (before Europe try to save money)
Every crisis is a chance to change stuff in all its meanings. And it is normal business conduct to create a crisis and use it as an advantage.
Medical? yes, we need to take care more than ever before to prevent c-19 from spreading uncontrolled, but we can do this with knowledge and not against better knowing!
In a world where the money is worshiped as a deity, conflicts of interest inevitably lead to disadvantages. But we are part of this problem!
The neutrality of the Internet is not negotiable! It is not a question of preventing illegal activities, but of restricting freedom of speech.
A network, censored and controlled by authorities and companies, is only used to feed the capitalism machine and give small companies and individuals access to the market only through more and more money!
